ISLETON — November 2, 2026. Isleton’s published five-year wastewater rate study says the small Delta city faces pressure from operating expenses, aging assets and planned infrastructure improvements.
Why the review was commissioned
The study prepared by Rural Community Assistance Corporation describes a need to move wastewater revenue toward financial sustainability. It also notes that city staffing shortages and turnover complicated the collection of complete historical financial records.
Questions for residents and businesses
The study considers costs across the city’s customer classes and flags limitations in the underlying commercial customer data. Any future rates should be compared with adopted council resolutions and billing notices rather than assumed from the consultant’s recommended scenario.
A report is not itself a new bill
Isleton published the study and chart for public review. A study proposing multi-year changes is not proof that every rate in the chart has been adopted. Residents can request the latest legally effective schedule from City Hall.
